The First Signatures Were Signed for the Establishment of a Technopark at Our University

The work carried out jointly by our university and the Turkish-German University to establish a technopark has been completed and is now at the stage of applying to the Ministry of Industry and Technology. A 3506 m2 land in the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Zihni Derin Campus has been allocated as a Technology Development Zone for the joint Technopark to be established by our university and the Turkish-German University. Furthermore, approximately 60 acres of land located within the boundaries of Çekmeköy in Istanbul has been allocated to the two universities for the establishment of another Technology Development Zone. In this way, with the announcement of Technology Development Zones in two different locations, the joint Technopark of our university and the Turkish-German University will be established.

All necessary procedures and feasibility reports for both the allocation of land in Istanbul and the establishment of the Technology Development Zone have been completed, and the process has reached the application stage to the Ministry of Industry and Technology. At this stage, a Technology Development Zone Founding Committee Protocol was signed among the partners of the technopark to be established, which include Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, Turkish-German University, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Development Foundation, and the Turkish-German University Support Foundation. During the meeting, Nusret BAYRAKTAR, the President of our University's Development Foundation, was elected as the Chairman of the Technology Development Zone Founding Committee. In the next stage, following the announcement of Technology Development Zones by the ministry, work will begin on company formation and the construction of technopark buildings within both Technology Development Zones.
