About Dijitalpark Technopark
Dijitalpark Technopark was established as a joint venture between Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University and the Turkish-German University, by presidential decree on May 21, 2019, and became operational on June 1, 2020. Positioned as a significant center for technology and innovation in Turkey, Dijitalpark Technopark is located in Istanbul Çekmeköy, as well as at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Zihni Derin campus in Rize, across three different regions designated as technology development zones.
Establishment and Operation
The establishment of Dijitalpark Technopark is a strategic step aimed at enhancing Turkey's national and international competitiveness in the field of technology. Supported by a presidential decree, this initiative aims to strengthen Turkey’s knowledge and technology-based economy. Besides Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University and the Turkish-German University, the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Development Foundation and the Turkish German University Support Foundation are also founding partners.
Allocated Areas
At the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University campus in Rize, Dijitalpark Technopark will host an incubation building spanning 4,500 square meters. Here, about 50 entrepreneurial companies will contribute to the national technology initiative by developing high-tech products. The focus is on developing innovative products in fields such as energy, advanced materials, biomedical, and industrial software. Additionally, about 40 acres of land in Çekmeköy, Istanbul, have been allocated as a technology development zone. These areas are planned as centers with modern infrastructure where innovative entrepreneurs and technology-based firms can operate. The aim is to enhance sustainable high-tech production and innovation capacity with approximately 4,000 R&D personnel.

Future Goals
Dijitalpark Technopark aims to continue enhancing Turkey's national and international competitiveness in technology and innovation by contributing to the development of new technologies and to the economy of the country. In this direction, it will continue to support projects focused on technology and R&D work.
Dijitalpark Technopark also plays a significant role in university-industry collaboration and the management of intellectual property rights. It is positioned as a center that allows for the commercialization and marketing of technological knowledge at national and international levels. It aims to be a meeting point for entrepreneurial firms from Europe, the Turkish Republics, the Middle East, and worldwide.
