“Commercialization-Oriented Sustainable Cooperation Platform: Istanbul Innovation and Technology Licensing Center” Project will host the Digital Pathway Demoday and Project Market Event.Under the project supported by the Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA), executed by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University and Turkish-German University TGB Management Inc., the Digital Pathway Demoday and Project Market event will take place on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. The event aims to connect products from entrepreneurs and project owners who have received education and mentorship with investors. Entrepreneurs will present their business ideas to investors in search of support. Activities focused on dissemination of knowledge, and supporting technology development and transfer with a commercialization focus are planned to be carried out.It is anticipated that 19 stakeholder organizations and members active in relevant sectors, angel investors, venture capital companies, as well as company representatives from Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University and Turkish-German University TGB Management Inc., will participate in the event.In addition to investor support, the Digital Pathway Demoday will award 60,000 TL to the business idea selected first, 40,000 TL to the second, and 20,000 TL to the third based on jury evaluation.Everyone interested in innovative and technology-oriented business ideas can attend the Digital Pathway Demoday event at the Turkish-German University Beykoz Campus.
The Digital Pathway Pre-Incubation entrepreneurs who will exhibit their projects at the event are as follows:1. Nurse Finder: A digital platform providing professional, fast, accessible, flexible, and transparent nursing services whenever individuals need nursing care.2. Interrupt: With a team of engineers and doctors, it creates innovative solutions in the biomedical field. FOGLASSES, the first product of Interrupt, focuses on helping Parkinson's patients typically dependent on a second person and prone to depression adapt more to social life with wearable sensors and smart glasses.3. Kantaronano: Focused on obtaining nano-structured products using biodegradable materials like polycaprolactone and St. John's Wort oil through electrospinning.4. Karsagu: Focused on creating user-friendly software for corporate carbon footprint calculation and reporting, marketable to companies as a product under ISO 14064:2018.5. Kozmi: An e-commerce platform offering cosmetic product recommendations based on skin type and personal requests, aiming to create a community and platform for informed cosmetic consumption.6. Lojipark: Offers a marketplace and B2B SaaS application for logistics companies to easily manage operations, access a wide pool of carriers, and digitize processes.7. Mapla: As MAPLA Biotechnology, provides solutions to eliminate valuable components in food waste, avoid environmental pollution from plastic use, and address issues of future generations and species extinction.8. Plasticversus: Produces biodegradable raw materials and products to reduce plastic pollution, bring agricultural waste into the economy, and develop applicable bio-solutions for the plastic industry to prevent the climate crisis.9. Tare: Aims to reduce the environmental burden caused by the packaging of each purchased product in plastic and the lack of widespread alternatives.10. Toprak Mekatronik: An assistive technology company producing devices that ease the lives of the disabled and elderly, including devices enabling those with paralysis, partial paralysis, and muscle joint problems to use phones, TVs, and computers.Additionally, within the scope of the “Commercialization-Oriented Sustainable Cooperation Platform: Istanbul Innovation and Technology Licensing Center” Project, the opening of the Design and Prototyping Center will take place. This center will provide free services to entrepreneurs, private sector representatives, academics, project stakeholders, and industry representatives during the project.The established Design and Prototyping Center and its equipment are expected to accelerate the commercialization processes of SMEs that are members of the stakeholder institutions, especially those operating under the Technopark, and to bring cost and time advantages, as well as productivity and competitive advantages.
