Hasan Basri Kurt, who served as the General Director of Management Services at the Ministry of Industry and Technology, has been appointed as the President of KOSGEB.

Hasan Basri Kurt, who had served as the General Director of Management Services at the Ministry of Industry and Technology and as a 25th and 26th Term Member of Parliament for Samsun, has been appointed as the President of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB).

POLITICAL SCIENTIST WITH A MASTER'S DEGREE

Born on April 20, 1978, in Samsun, Political Scientist Hasan Basri Kurt holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in international relations. He worked in various managerial roles in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) and served as Business Development Manager, Social Services Projects Manager, and Project Coordination Manager at İBB subsidiary Sağlık A.Ş. During this period, he managed various projects on Home Care, Women's Health, and Disabilities. He led the Social Aid Coupon project, which enabled those in need to shop directly at markets.

SERVED AS MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR 2 TERMS

Kurt, who has also been a founding partner and board member in various companies in the fields of IT, food, and construction as an independent entrepreneur, served as a Member of Parliament for Samsun in the 25th and 26th Terms of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. He was a Clerk Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Parliament, as well as a Member of the AK Party Group Management Board. During his tenure, Kurt worked particularly on issues related to the fishing and medical sectors. While serving as the General Director of Management Services at the Ministry of Industry and Technology, he was appointed as the President of KOSGEB. Kurt speaks English, is married, and has two children.
