MAKEL was established in 1997 as a manufacturing company. In the years following its establishment, the main activities involved the trading of products it represented and parts subcontracted to other manufacturers. During the development process, when these products began to be manufactured internally, all representation and commercial activities were terminated in 2005.
Today, MAKEL produces Chemical-Biological-Radiological-Nuclear (CBRN) Protection Systems, Auxiliary Power Units (APU), Climate Control Systems, and Life Support Units (LSU) consisting of all these components, as well as critical components like alternators and CBRN filters, following globally recognized standards. MAKEL continues its operations across three separate sites located in Istanbul and Ankara.
