Haffner was founded in 1926 in Pforzheim by Gotthold Haffner as a manufacturer of woodworking hand machines for carpenters and joiners in the city of Pforzheim, Germany. In 1945, it moved to Ötisheim and continued its production there. By the 1970s, it began developing and producing the industry's first machines for PVC window manufacturing.



In the 1980s, it developed CNC-controlled profile processing machines. By the 2000s, the company became one of the most significant brands in the industry with both production capacity and product development capability, raising its export share to 85%. The first automatic welding and cleaning machines were produced during this period. Today, it operates as a leader in the industry in the production, sales, service, and engineering of aluminum, PVC, and steel profile processing machines.



In 2012, Haffner was acquired by Murat Makine, which was rapidly growing in the European and US markets by operating in the same sector. After this move that altered the industry dynamics, production was moved to Istanbul.



Today, Haffner is a global company exporting more than 85% of its production, expanding its network of sales and technical support by establishing its offices in the USA, Canada, Germany, India, Chile, Poland, and Russia, and guaranteeing service quality.
